They Show Up Despite the Rain, Cold and Terror, Shouldn’t We?

We received a call from the Netzach Yehuda battalion, a unit made up of Haredei soldiers who put their lives on the line every moment. This month they came under attack three times and two of their soldiers were killed and several others wounded. They desperately needed a boost in morale. Our immediate response was to pack up our hospitality trailer and head out to them bringing refreshments and a show of love, caring, and appreciation from Jews all over the world.

This can only be accomplished with your support. Standing together has a tremendous effect on these young men who face life and death situations on a daily basis. We owe them so much gratitude that is indescribable in words. Tonight was cold, wintry and rainy but was transformed into a warm loving atmosphere. The chayalim felt the outpouring love from across the Jewish world.

An especially heartwarming moment when we gave out letters from local school children showing their love and appreciation one letter had the child’s phone number and even though the hour was late, the chayal called the mother and told her how much that letter meant to him. She woke up her son so he could hear from the soldier himself how much his words meant to him. This is what standing together is all about.
