This Yom Yerushalayim, a very special group of teens from the Young Israel of Woodmere in NY celebrated and honored our soldiers. The small group organized an ice cream party for the youth in the community and used it to raise funds to send an ice cream party to our soldiers here in Israel. Everyone had a good time and it was for a great cause. The teens sold raffle tickets, organized shul sponsorship and dished out ice cream. For a minimal $5 donation, kids were able to come and have all the ice cream they wanted. At the event, participants were asked to write quick notes of thanks to the soldiers as well. It was a great way to show what a difference can be made by a small group of kids and a little bit of effort! Great Job kids!
